STI has been making some of the best ATV and SxS tires and wheels for years. Now they are using their extensive knowledge of tire construction to take on the dirt bike tire market.
I put a set of STI Tech 2 tires on my CRF450R and went to a local Enduro at The Ranch in Anza, California. After 45 miles of tearing up the singletrack here is what my rear tire looked like.
So then I went to the ISDE 2-day Qualifier Enduro in Idaho City, Idaho with the same tire. By the end of the event I had racked up another 160 miles on the same STI tires! So after over 200 miles the rear tire still has PLENTY of bite left to it. Now I’m gonna rack up more miles trail riding on this sucker:
STI tires are currently available in standard sizes in one tread pattern for soft/intermediate terrain. STI Tires are distributed by MTA, and any reputable motorcycle shop can get them for you. Oh yeah- they are way less expensive than Dunlops or Bridgestones!
